Singers
The Singers are an SATB/SSAB chamber choir. This group meets daily during 8th period. Members of Singers must first become members of Chorale to qualify for an audition. The audition process of this group is extremely vigorous, so its members are generally students with advanced musical and vocal skill. In addition to making up the royal court of Queen Elizabeth during our Madrigal Dinner, this group performs at a variety of community functions and is often in demand for staff gatherings of business organizations. Emphasis is placed on advanced literature from the madrigal and jazz periods in this group, while a variety of music from many other cultures, time periods, and styles is also explored throughout the school year. This group also gets involved in peer mentoring in the vocal music program.
